Skincare Edit | Garnier Oil - Infused Cleansing Water

I could not be more in love with Micellar Waters. They’re so fuss free and easy to remove make-up; they’ve become such a crucial step to my bedtime skincare routine.

Over the last few months, I’ve tried many different Micellar Waters, my favourite being the Garnier one for combination skin, as it doesn’t dry out my skin and leaves it feeling thoroughly cleansed. However, the other version for sensitive skin (the one in the pink bottle) irritated my eyes and made them really red and sore. Thankfully, Garnier have introduced a newest member to the Micellar Water family, this time for dry skin so I had to try it.

The Garnier Oil-Infused Micellar Water is specifically designed for dry and sensitive skin, which sounds like something made for me and my dry skin woes! The Micellar Water is separated from the oil product which sits beautifully on top; all you need to do is shake it up to use.

Initially, I was put off by its extremely oily feel; I expected it to be watered down slightly due to the mass amount of water. The scent is beautiful and not too overwhelming, which is important for a face product. Most importantly, the oil-enriched formula cut through make-up so easily, better than the other Micellar Waters from Garnier. Eyeliner and mascara came off like a dream! However, at the end of application my skin was left feeling overly oily which I didn’t like. My face felt very greasy to touch and the product just sat on my skin rather than nourishing it, which I found disappointing.

After a few days of use my skin seemed to break out a little, small blemishes around my nose and mouth. I think this could be due to using this product as I haven’t added anything new into my skincare routine. Although, that being said, this could be a good thing? The Micellar Water is cleaning the dirt and bacteria out of my pores, which has resulted in a little breakout. I’m hoping this will clear up after some use.

Overall, I did enjoy using this product but I’m having a few teething issues at the moment so I’m hoping to work my through these! I absolutely loved the way it cut through make-up, this makes bedtime come around a lot quicker too! The price of this product is £5.99, so only £1 more expensive than the other Micellar Waters in the range and for its cleaning power, it's definitely worth the extra £1.

Out of 10, I would probably give this product five. Shop it here

I’d love to hear what you thought about this product.

Skincare Edit: L'Oreal Pure Clay Detox Mask Review

Getting a clay facial is probably a highlight of any spa trip but now we can get well and truly pampered in the comfort of our own homes, in our PJs and catching up on your favourite series on Netflix. All thanks to the beauty giants, L’Oreal, who just launched three new clay masks to give us that spa experience without the expensive price tag.

Each mask is targeted for a specific skin type:

  •  For oily skin: The Purify Clay Mask with Eucalyptus which helps to mattify oily skin
  •  For dull skin: The Glow Clay Mask with Red Algae to exfoliate and illuminate skin
  • For normal skin: The Detox Clay Mask with Charcoal to draw out impurities

I decided to buy the Detox Mask for normal skin as I was in need of a thorough cleanse and this works to suck out all the dirt and oil from your pores. It’s creamy and rich in texture and easy to apply. I applied a light layer to the face avoiding the eyes and mouth and left it on for 10 minutes.

Afterward, my skin did feel noticeably cleaner and my pores smaller however my skin did feel tight and quite dry. I would say this is a down side, although this could be due to leaving the mask on for slightly longer than the allotted time (12 mins instead of 10).

Overall, this product was fun and easy to use and no doubt my skin reaped the benefits of a good detox mask. I have definitely incorporated this into my Sunday night-time routine, even though I’ll be scrubbing the clay out of my hair line until Tuesday!

What’s your favourite clay mask?

Wednesday Wishlist | 90s Blush

Wednesday Wishlist | 90s Blush

Wednesday Wishlist | 90s Blush by nancycamp1 featuring adidas sneakers

I've wanted a bomber jacket for the longest time but I've struggled to find the perfect one for my shape. This one is less 'puffer' and more slimline, which works better with my shorter top-half. The blush shade would be the perfect addition to my light jacket collection for this awful SUMMER we're having.

My love affair with culottes continues, this time to three-quarter length ones that graze above the ankle. I love the colour and shape of this River Island pair

Adidas Pink Superstars, what the hell? Are these not the greatest shoes ever? Totally in love with these but I'm very worried of how dirty they'll get with my clumsy footing.

Rose-Gold Ray-Ban's in Clubround, need I say more? These have to be my glasses of choice for an upcoming trip I have planned. Mirrored lenses are super trendy at the moment, and the rose-gold effect couldn't be any more perfect.

The 90s have been taking over as a real trend lately, from grungy sandals to top knots and chokers. Chokers have been seen on the best 90s fan-girls from Zoella to Kylie Jenner, so I needed to add this onto my wishlist.

I'm very drawn to blush pinks ever since my room re-decoration. What colours have you been buying lately? Tag me in your purchases @nancycamp

#OOTD | Floral Bardot Dress and Tie-up Block Heels

Happy Saturday guys...

The Bardot and choker look is one of my favourite summer trends, so shopping for an engagement party outfit was a breeze. After seeing this dress on someone in Covent Garden, I had to track it down. Luckily, (or sometimes damaging to my bank balance) my office is next to a New Look and during one of my lunchtime jaunts, I found it....and at £24.99 it was a sale!

I teamed the Button Down Floral Bardot Dress with some Black Tie-up Block Heeled Sandals from River Island that were reduced from £55 to £30. Talk about a successful shopping trip?

I think this was one of my favourite outfits, one which ticked all my boxes, comfort and style. The perfect day-to-night ensemble.

#OOTD | Daisy Wide Leg Trousers and Bardot top

The BBQ season is finally upon us, so wave goodbye to that summer bod and say hello to comfortable cover-ups.

Finding outfits for weekends in the sun is tough. You want to feel comfortable enough to consume umpteen amounts of burgers but still look like a bohemian goddess at the same time.

So when considering my outfit for a summery soiree with friends, I had to think comfort and style. I opted for these Daisy Print Wide Leg Trousers from ASOS (last season). Their high -wasted style and jersey material are a BBQ's best friend, I teamed them with a Bardot Gypsy top from Primark, £7, for the ultimate eating and drinking ensemble.

I'd love to see your BBQ outfit, tweet me a pic @NCampopiano

Beauty Review | Shea Moisture Fruit Fusion Coconut Water

Happy Friday guys!

This week I'm crazy about haircare. All I can think about is my hair and I'm pretty sure (OK, very sure) that it is to do with some products I got sent from Shea Moisture. I kindly received the shampoo, hair masque and texture spray from the Fruit Fusion Coconut Water collection and thought I'd give them a go.

Having never heard of Shea Moisture, I was not sure what to expect. Initially, I was impressed with the overall image of the product. The packaging was pretty, bright and resembled the Bumble and Bumble brand.

Shea Moisture is an American brand which recently launched here in the UK in October. The products are all organic, sulphate and paraben-free, which I think is super important if you suffer from dull or lifeless hair. I was really excited to try these products as sometimes my hair can be very dry at the ends.

Weightless Shampoo

The shampoo foamed-up really nicely and I only used a small amount. It left my hair feeling really clean and washed out well. The coconut isn’t overpowering it’s actually quite fresh and not artificial smelling, which you can sometimes get from hair products and it can be quite unpleasant. But this is just the right amount of coconut. I would definitely recommend this product for people with thick/wavy hair.

I then blow dried my hair and it was left feeling very light with lots of body and minimal frizz, which was lovely to see.

Weightless Hair Masque

Having never used a masque before, I was so excited to try this. I totally fell for the product and how soft my hair felt after use. I applied the masque generously to all of my hair and left on for five minutes. It washed off really nicely to reveal the amazing softness. The masque definitely helped to lock in the gorgeous scent and even four days in… I can still smell it!

Weightless Texture Spray

The texture spray did help to tame my frizz but to be honest I didn't feel it added anything else to my hair as the shampoo and masque pretty much covered all bases.

Overall, I was thoroughly impressed with Shea Moisture’s products and I will definitely be trying out more of the range.

If you have tried any of these products I’d love to hear your thoughts, tweet me @NCampopiano

Wednesday Wishlist | Spring Beauty 2016

Wednesday Wishlist | Beauty Spring 2016

Wednesday Wishlist | Beauty Spring 2016 by nancycamp1 featuring a liquid eyeliner

Happy Wednesday guys!

I hope you all had fabulous Bank Holiday weekends, now for a four day week...woo.

It's Wednesday Wishlist time again, this week is Spring beauty themed. This is my favourite time of year and always a good season to update your make-up collection with bright shades of blushers and shadows.

I have been lusting after all of these items for while and sadly some of them are only available in the US thanks to Sephora. But luckily, I have a work friend coming back from the US and bringing me a few bits. So for the first time, I might actually own some of these products!

The first thing is the Too Faced Sweetheart Blush, in Sparkling Bellini, which I'm very excited for. It's the perfect blush for Spring and Summer in the beautiful coral shade. This gorgeous new range has sold so well in the US but it's almost impossible to get over here as they only sell it online at Debenhams.  Also, in the same range, The Sweet Peach Palette, has sold out everywhere and only now available on eBay and Amazon at an exceptional price. So this one is definitely going to remain on my Wishlist for the foreseeable future.

Of course the Kylie Cosmetics Lip Kit is at the top of my list but another hard-to-get product. They sell out almost immediately online making it almost impossible to own. Dolce K has to be my favourite, I'm a sucker for pinky nudes.

I've been looking to buy a foundation more suitable for Spring and I have read such great things about the Charlotte Tilbury, Magic Foundation, from coverage to the 'dewy' glow it gives.

What's on your wishlist?

Beauty Edit | Strobing Compact

So apparently strobing is the new contouring. This is news to me, after finally mastering the art of contouring (all but badly) now we have a new make-up skill to learn. So thankfully, our high-street hero brand, MUA, have launched a new strobing compact, available from Superdrug, £5.

Made to make strobing easy, all you need to do is swipe, sculpt and strobe! The powder and crème highlighter are the perfect blend of shimmer and sheen designed to give your cheek that Spring glow.
I would definitely say it was a soft-focus highlighter so not glittery or OTT but very enjoyable and easy to use.

I recently bought a fan brush from eBay, £1.99, to apply the powder to my cheekbones, which goes on like a dream and really brightens the area. Then to apply the crème highlighter I use my index finger to smooth and blend, leaving the skin looking healthy and luminescent.

I wouldn't say it is one of the best highlighting products but it certainly does a great job for a drugstore/high-street brand and for £5, you can't really go wrong.

You can get the Luxe Strobe & Glow Highlight compact from any Superdrug or MUA online. Find it here:

I also featured this product in my recent Superdrug Haul video over on my YouTube channel. Check it out:

I'm also thinking of doing a strobing tutorial - I'd love to know what you think. Comment below

Wednesday Wishlist | Sports Luxe

Sports Chic

So the Wednesday wishlist is back and today's theme is one that I have been lusting over for quite some time. The sports luxe trend is one of my current favourites, due to the classic combination of style and comfort. Who doesn't love to wear trainers, sweatshirts and still be classed as 'stylish?'

I have been obsessing over the iWatch ever since it launched but sadly the price tag is a little too indulgent for me. Apparently, the newest version (which they are due to release soon) will have FaceTime ability so maybe I'll wait and see.

As loads of you will know, my Michael Kors Rhea Backpack in pastel blue is one of my prised possessions but this new colour is a little too much for me to ignore. The grey shade is absolutely beautiful and it would work lovely with my new spring wardrobe. Do you think it's ever OK to own two colours of the same handbag? I'm sure Kim K would agree with me.

Slogan sweatshirts have been popping up all over the high-street, this one from River Island featuring two of my favourite top models, Kendall and Gigi, is definitely something I'll be purchasing after pay-day. I love the metallic writing and the crisp colour of the sweatshirt - a defo wardrobe must-have for these recent freezing mornings.

I have been after a bomber jacket for a while now and on my hunt for the perfect one I decided that padded ones do not work for me. This could be due to me being slightly petite and shorter in the body but I found that non-padded ones, styled correctly, could work better for me. This grey one from River Island, would work very well into my wardrobe

Beauty Edit | My Favourite Nudes

Happy Monday guys!

I thought I'd kick off this week with a beauty post on one of my favourite topics... MATTE NUDES.

I think Spring is the perfect time for matte nudes as prints and pastels are starting to sneak their way into our wardrobes and we can finally say goodbye to the dark berry toned lipsticks of winter.

It seems like all thanks to Kylie Jenner, and her Lip Kits (which I'm yet to purchase) matte nudes have been having a bit of a moment. Almost every top make-up house, from drug-store to high-end, have introduced a matte nude into their collections. So I thought now would be a perfect time to run you through some of my favourites.

First up has to be my trusty and Holy Grail beauty favourite, MAC Velvet Teddy.
For me, this has to be one of the best nudes for my skin tone. It works perfectly for an everyday nude and teams nicely with numerous eye-shadow looks from night to day. It's the only nude I turn to as it's not drying and applies beautifully. I use this with the MAC Lip Pencil in the colour, Whirl. The two together are a dream team so if you're looking for a nude and have mid-brown hair colour with brown eyes, then I thoroughly recommend, Velvet Teddy.

Next up, is the Rouge Edition Lipstick from Bourjois in the shade 02, Beige Trench.
This has to be my one of my favourites, due to its 'your lips but better' appeal. It is the ultimate nude, perfect for those days with minimal make-up. It gives your lips that hint of colour without being overpowering - it's so natural. If you're looking for a high-street naked nude - then this is for you.

The newest addition to my nudes is the, Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolour, in the shade, Seduction.
Other than its amazing chocolate/ caramel smell, this nude is rapidly becoming one of my staples. Revlon released these lip lacquers earlier this year with a great range of colours from berry tones to reds. They are super moisturising and extremely long-lasting, everything you could possibly want from a nude. The tapered wand allows the product to glide on evenly and reach those hard-to-get-to places. All round - a thumbs up from me.

Last but not least, is my darker nude, which is the KIKO Velvet Matte Satin Lipstick, in the shade 06, Rosy Brown. This lipstick is for the slightly darker days with more heavier make-up and not every day wear. It's velvet texture is a dream to apply and leaves the lips feeling so luxurious despite its relatively cheap price tag. For a darker toned nude, this works perfectly for me and it's sleek rose gold packaging makes it even more exciting. If you're heading to KIKO, make sure this is in your basket.

I'd love to hear what nudes you're loving this season, use the hashtag #NancyEllen's on Insta or tweet me, @NCampopiano.

Ps, I'm uploading a new collab video over on my YouTube channel tomorrow, so make you tune in at 6pm to like, share and subscribe...

Room Update | Rose Gold and Blush

Happy Saturday guys!

So, as some of you know I recently redecorated my room and I thought now would be a great time to share some pictures with you. The theme is rose gold and blush, which was at times, very challenging as some of the items were very hard to source but rose gold spray paint was my savour and definitely saved me money. I was able to transform old furnishings into new ones, which was amazing and fun to do.  The knick-knack items were from all high-street/ budget stores including Tesco, ASDA, IKEA and Matalan.

If you'd like to know where any item in particular is from, then comment below and I will get back to you. Also, if you've seen any rose gold items on the high-street or thinking of redecorating with this theme, I'd love to hear from you. Tweet me @NCampopiano.

Beauty Edit | Three Best Matte Red Lipsticks for Valentine’s Day

The perfect red lipstick is so hard to find. With so many hues, shades and finishes it’s almost impossible to find the perfect red lip for the most romantic day of the year.

My favourite red lip has to have a matte finish – its super long lasting, on trend and used with the correct lip liner it can transform any make-up look into a killer pout.

For today’s post, I’m going to run you through some of my favourite matte red lipsticks to rock on V-day with a mixture of products from drugstore to high-street.

Kate Moss’ Rimmel Matte Lipstick, Wine 107: £5.49

This is one of my favourite drug store lipsticks, EVER. I always have two of these on-the-go just in case. The dark wine colour is so special and still to this day I am yet to find a high-end alternative with a similar hue and finish. It’s really long lasting and isn’t drying, which is really important in a matte lipstick. It also smells of water melons, which is a massive bonus! I think this shade is perfect for Valentine’s and for the winter season due to its dark wine tone. Teamed with a cat eye flick and a smokey eye – you’ve got a great look for date night.

MAC Retro, Ruby Woo: £15.50

Ruby Woo is one of my favourite bright red lipsticks. It’s the perfect colour pop and the one and only statement red lips on the beauty scene. It is very long lasting, the only downside being it is very drying. I tend to apply a lip balm before application to combat this. I have been using Charlotte Tilbury’s Lip Magic, before my lip liner, which does help to moisturise. Other than that, there aren’t any other problems with this shade. It’s my turn-to for outfits that need a burst of colour, the Christmas period and of course for Valentine’s Day. I like to use this with a gold sparkly eye and doll-like eyelashes for the perfect dinner date.

Charlotte Tilbury’s Matte Revolution, Red Carpet Red: £23.00

This is one red lipstick that only comes out at special occasions and of course Valentine’s Day is the perfect excuse. It’s the most expensive on the list but one of my favourite brands, EVER. The creamy and velvet consistency is an absolute dream to apply. It’s slightly darker in shade compared to, Mac Ruby Woo, but so much more luxurious and not drying on the lips. Its rose gold packaging is truly beautiful and makes it stand out amongst the rest. If you’re looking for a staple red lipstick for your make-up collection then this is the one for you. Team this with heavy liquid eyeliner for a movie night holding hands.

How will you be spending your Valentine’s Day? Tweet me @NCampopiano

Bedroom Edit | Blush and Rose Gold Room Inspo

Blush and Rose Gold Room Inspo

Blush and Rose Gold Room Inspo by nancycamp1 featuring metal lighting

For some of you that don't know, I think it's safe to say I have a rose gold obsession. From jewellery to décor - everything with a pinky, metallic hue has to be mine.

This month I'm re-decorating my bedroom, can you guess the theme? I have pulled some inspiration from my favourite curation site, Polyvore.

As you can see, some of this stuff is slightly out of my price range but it's great to pull inspiration and find high-street alternatives that are in my budget.

I have been using Pinterest for this too - you can check out my board 'Room Re-design' on my page, @nancycamp01.

I definitely love the idea of using rose gold spray paint to update my current furnishings. I'm going to use this for some wooden frames and cabinets I have.

I can't wait to start - I'm already de-cluttering my room and getting rid of some things I no longer need. I'm going more streamlined this time around - less 'knick-knack' items and more clean and classic.

My room at the moment has a 'shabby chic' theme to it with plenty of florals and lilac walls. I am so desperate to renovate this as I feel it's a little outdated.

I think the rose gold and blush pink theme is perfect for a bedroom with its warm hues but it also gives any room a modern twist as well.

These are some of the items I would really like to add into my room for the ultimate rose gold make over.

I'd love to know what you think or if you've found any rose gold items on your travels.

Skincare Edit: My Three Favourite Cleansers

I love using cleansers - there is truly no greater feeling than freshly cleaned skin at the end of a long day. At the moment I have three cleaners on-the-go. These range from the cheaper/drug store ones to more premium brands but I have to say they all do an amazing job.

My everyday cleanser and no.1 turn-to-option is always Garnier's Micellar Water. Ever since the cleansing/ Micellar water launched it revolutionised my cleansing routine and totally ruled out face wipes for me. It's simple, easy- to-use nature is great for any beauty novice looking for something new to spice up their skincare routine.

I remove my make-up using the cleansing water with a large face pad to wipe the day away. During the week I will use this as my everyday make-up look isn't too involved so the Micellar water is perfect. It does leave the skin feeling clean but it's not that deep clean feel you get with a balm or mask but it does a pretty good job. You can pick this up in any drug store or supermarket.

If I want to do a mid-week cleansing mask - I'll turn to my Charlotte Tilbury Goddess Skin Clay Mask. I do like this product but I would say it doesn't live up to all its expectations but it is good for a cleansing mask. I got this in my Charlotte Tilbury advent calender in December and have been using it ever since.  I start by applying a thick layer onto the skin and leaving it for 10 minutes and then washing off using warm water. You do get a soft skin, clean feel but I wouldn't say it tightens pores etc. For a good cleaning mask - I would definitely recommend this although it is on the pricer end of the scale.

If I've worn a lot of heavy make-up or if my pores feel clogged up I'll turn to my thick, balm cleanser, Emma Hardie's Moringa Cleansing Balm. I have to say this is one of my favourite cleansers I'm using at the moment. It's very nourishing and so moisturising on the skin - there is no cleaner feeling. I usually use this before bed. I start by massaging the balm into my face using some warm water and then removing all traces of make-up and dirt with the muslin cloths it comes with.

This balm is one of my favourite skincare products and I always enjoy using it. It really rejuvenates my skin, which I've never been able to recreate with any other product. Although this does break the bank, think of it as a skin investment. I promise you won't change your mind.

What are your favourite cleansers? I'd love to hear.
